Volunteers for Money Advice
Due to an increasing demand for the work we do with RSLs and Housing Associations we are looking to recruit volunteers to train in Money Advice primarily focusing on debt, financial capability and benefits. Training will be fast tracked and we would anticipate you to be being interviewing clients within 6 weeks as well as delivering financial capability training within a similar period. As a money advice volunteer, your work will include, completing financial statements, benefit checks and gathering information about debts. The results of this work will form the basis against which you will deliver financial capability training to clients on an ongoing basis
After the fast tracked training programme, you will then continue training in other enquiry areas to complete the generalist CAB advisor training programme, if you are not already a fully qualified CAB generalist adviser.
We consider this is an excellent opportunity to be involved in extremely valuable work whilst gaining exceptional work experience and new skills which could lead to formal qualification.
This opportunity is open to both those already working within the CAB and those who wish to consider volunteering with us.
